The grill guard fell off when i was cooking and i didn't put it back not, noit realising that the dials were slowly turning yellow.

My dad saw them and has just gone mental on the phone, essentially i need to get them resembling normality in the next two hours!

Meh, not a lot you can do if you've cooked them. You could offer to get replacements though.

Nah there's very little you can do.

Wait - the dials that are made of plastic?

There's no cleaning product that can un-singe plastic, I'm afraid.

If they were black you could try and paint them I suppose, but from the yellow i guess they were white.

There/s not much that can be done, it sounds to me as if they've melted. hope it's not too bad!

Do they still function properly? I mean, if you're lucky you could see if they're replaceable or not... but tbh, kicking you out because you had an accident with the cooker is a bit over the top, imo.

Yes they function still. I'm trying to find a replacement but I don't know the model of cooker. Yes over the top, but there is no such thing as an accident, only wrecking the house that they work so hard to pay for as a demonstration of my hatred for them :o: i'm serious. I leave a plate on the side and they go ape.

Meanwhile though, my fifteen year old sister isn't even awake yet, gets away with effing murder.

:hugs: I hope your family aren't too harsh on you. I know what parents as passive-aggressive as you describe can be like.
