Partial Fractions - Which one is right? watch

1. Question:

Find the integral of:

5x^2 + x -34/(x-2)(x-3)(x+4) dx.

2 ln |x-2| - 14 ln |x-3| + 17 ln |x+4| + c.

The mark scheme:

ln |x + 4| + 2ln|x − 3| + 2ln|x − 2| + c.
2. The mark scheme is, as usual, correct.

Would you mind using brackets or LaTeX in future?

5. oh wait i made a stupid mistake.
6. Steve, you have an error in your second line.

it should be .......C(x-2)(x-3)

and to save yourself all that work why not refer people to Wolframalpha
