In terms of freshers week, do you arrive on the Saturday or Sunday before it starts?

It's just we're having to book flights and stuff so my parents are trying to book as far in advance as possible...

Self Catered arrived on Saturday and Catered on Sunday for me. There are exceptions - if you talk tot he accommodation office they will probably let you in on the saturday if you're from overseas. Best people to ask are the accommodation office though ^.^

Depends on where you get allocated.
For me, in James Owen Court, the official move in day depended on the block you were moving into.

It's all a general rule anyway, but if I remember correctly you had to give them notice if you wanted to move in on a different day from the official one.

Give the accommodation office an email to see what they have to say about the matter, they're the most reliable people to speak to on this matter.

It depends on where you're living - it's usually divided up by accommodation, with some residences arriving on the Saturday and some on the Sunday (or, in the case of bigger halls like Holland, some blocks on the Saturday and some on the Sunday). If you absolutely have to turn up on the Saturday you'd probably be allowed to even if the rest of your block/Hall doesn't arrive 'til the next day, but you could be literally the only person there that night.

Depends on where you are - my halls had people arriving on the Saturday and the Sunday, so I'd ask the accomodation office.
