I have said that to their face but they still stand strong. And no I wouldn't call these few guys ugly, they actually have brought home some really hot white girls, some in proper relationships.
The bottom line is who they choose to sleep with, date etc is entirely up to them.

Im certainly not going to lose any sleep over anyone saying black women are ugly because its an opinion (theirs)not a fact.

They are probably suffering from a bit of colonial/slave mentality, its not uncommon and certainly no suprise to me.

Glad to know your not aiming any of this at me, well im also annoyed because i listen to gothic rock and gothic metal (within temptation) and people go on about me being black, i mean i used to listen to rap but it got boring with the usual sex, girls, money, ideology
    No I wouldn't

Yeah I know what you mean, I will dance to anything with a good beat but people think because I like the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan I can't like DJ Tiesto or Metallica or Frank Sinatra even.

I know for you it's obviously worse being expected to adhere to the stereotypes of your race, as well as the stereotypes of what music black people should be listening to.

Personally, only working class black girls seem to behave like that. You would rarely see a middle class or wealthy black girls behave in that sort of manner.

exactly! they pick a couple (one is mixed race too) to show that all black women are just as beautiful lol.

Fact is walk through your town, you will very rarely come across a hot black girl, but so many hot white/asian girls.
Almost all black Americans and Caribbeans are mixed- not 100% African. Beyonce has the same complexion as myself and millions of other girls, who identify themselves as being black.

People live their lives bound by what they accept as correct and true. That's how they define "reality". But what does it mean to be "correct" or "true"? Merely vague concepts ... their "reality" may all be a mirage. Can we consider them to simply be living in their own world, shaped by their beliefs?
That's a quote, why are you trying to act as if you said it?

To the OP, if we're talking purely stereotypically then yes, black women are generally more feisty and play a more dominant part in a relationship i.e. they don't take any stupidness and let themselves be heard.
Secondly, and again on a purely stereotypical level, I guess white women are generally seen as more submissive than black women, so they go for black males because of the dominance associated with them. Then they can satisfy their subconscious want to stand beside and support their man. Not to mention that all women seem to be going through this phase of wanting "cute mixed race babies". Plus, from what i've seen, white women seem to have more of a "housewife" mentality. Meaning that they are brought up with their mums pressuring them to settle down with a nice man in a nice house with the 2.4 children and a dog.
Black women stick to their race because of culture and socialism and a general want to "hold on to their black men" (don't shoot me! We're talking stereotypes here :p: ).

What about mixed people? Do they get hassle for being 'neither'. Do mixed girls generally prefer white or black guys?
I have had comments, but not hassle... apart from a few ignorant jokes like "how can you be two things at once" etc. I don't really have a preference when it comes to race in guys although I have had more crushes on white guys if we're simply talking black and white; however lets not forget that black and white aren't the only races out there. I've been partial to olive toned and brown skinned too. Not to mention other mixed race people (I'm bisexual so I can check out both genders  ).

lol its VERY RARE that i see mixed race guys and girls that associate more with white culture than black, very rare, also mixed girls i know like black guys...
I associate with both cultures, although black moreso. Although the only reason for that is that white people don't really seem to have a culture to follow? Plus I was brought up with a big Black family whilst only seeing my smaller, whiter side maybe once a year, twice at the most.
With Black people there's an obvious mix of food/music/clothing/attitude and then there's the whole slavery part and community spirit part of it. By community spirit I mean that when I walk down the street and make eye contact with a black guy, 9 times out of 10 we both do "the nod" (y'know the whole reverse chin lift thing), whereas that doesn't happen between me and white people, or white people themselves. And there's the "Brotha/Sista" bit. Plus I have Uncles and Aunties that I'm not even properly related to

And again, I have no racial preference when it comes to guys; black, white, caramel, olive-toned... Although not oriental so much, not for any specific reason though.

Why do people feel like they have to justify themselves by saying they like rock music. Like its somemassive sign of worldlyness and that it some how makes being black more acceptable for other people. Maybe i'm just going off on a tangent

I am of mixed race and the majority of black girls that I have met fit comfortably into that sterotype.

Genetically, I am 50% black and 50% Chinese.
Lookswise, I am probably 70% black and 30% chinese.
    Personality-wise/the way I am/culture, I am about 90% chinese and 10% black.

I find that I do not fit in well with ny black counterparts, I am often too shy, too much of a pushover. The majority of black girls that I have met intimidate me greatly. I do get lots of attention from black guys () and I am mostly attracted to them. I am rarely attracted to a white guy (as I think they'd never go for me anyway) or chinese guys. The majority of guys (nearly every guy) that I find very hot are black ("hard" attitude or not).

wow so many posts in this thread O.O
anyways, im black, and i dislike black girls who act like "that". because it makes others think that all black girls are like that. Most of them like to act hard and be bossy and start drama...which i think is stupid.

    Stereotypical black girls = DRAMA!
