Is it wrong/pointless to scold someone for doing something "wrong"?

By "wrong" I mean something you don't agree with.

e.g. someone you're talking with boasts about how he cheated on his girlfriend with a hot babe supemodel he met somewhere.

If you are against cheating/infidelity, wouldn't it be right to slap him in his face or at least scold him in a very offensive way, e.g. "Shame on you, you idiot."
Two wrongs don't make a right

But two rights make a left. In other words, you leave him and don't speak again :awesome:

Three rights make a left :awesome:
What does this mean?

Come on guys, be serious. This is something very important.
Not your place to be involved, they want to make there own mistakes let them go ahead. people who generally do that wouldnt really care if you gave your opinion.

Why would you slap him? There's no need.

I'd definitely tell him what I thought about what he'd done though.
