Please Advise Me
A prominent position in my department at work is shortly to come up, and the other person is my office who will probably go for it is senior to me, been there longer than me and is way older than me. I feel atm they are my main threat even though no doubt, a lot of other people within the organisation will apply as will external candidates. I am early 20's well liked, but have a very junior role and have only been there 2 years. However I know 200% that I could do this job and it would change my life and another senior person from another department said I should go for it but unfortunately I know that in my own department they wouldn't want me to get it and will deter me, so if I am asked in front of them if I am going for it what should I say? Bearing in mind one of them will be on the pannel picking the new person for the job.
