Fantastic replies guys! I'm still a bit lost though. Really got to sit down and think about all this...I sent a mail to my old British Social History professor (I love social history) - but so far no response...that was a while ago...oh well

At my university if you receive funding in your PhD, you are expected to teach tutorials. This will just be giving help to students who are struggling with lecture content etc. My sister lectured first years in her PhD, as well as taking labs, marking work etc.

My point is, PhD's and teaching often come hand in hand.
    Hey Richard!
I was wondering, which is your university? Can I do my PHD in business/management related subject from ur uni? what is the minimum requirement? is it very competitive?
Lotsa questions. but i really wanna know! help me out!

To the person who negged me ( ) on the grounds that I have not yet recieved my GCSE results, I know that you must have started a PhD to start lecturing, because my dad is a lecturer.
Whilst I'm not the person who negged you, and I don't doubt your Dad's post required a PhD to apply, it is up to each institution to choose their lecturers, and there are certainly lecturers out there without PhDs; there's no set-in-stone policy.

Aston, I'm afraid I can't help you more than that thought. A lot of this information should be on the website, if not then email them.
