Ryanair often have very cheap deals, you just have to catch them at the right time.

(they have a £1 offer on right now: http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/)

Eurostar is cheap for youth tickets (Under 25s) if you book early enough.

Aside from that, Ferry/Train tickets to Holland.

http://www.stenaline.co.uk/ferry/rail-and-sail/holland/ and includes the train tickets from NXEA territory through to Harwich International; then ferry to Hoek van Holland, and then the train on to any Dutch station.

(and obviously the benefits with putting trains in your journey is that you actually end up in the centre of town! - unlike the low cost airlines).

For France; Foot passenger tickets on the Dover-Calais ferry, start from £10 each way.

    If you're in the North:
Newcastle - Amsterdam ferry - starts at £22 each way.

    Back in the South:
Harwich - Esbjerg in Denmark, costs from £38 each way.
