All good tips My addition would be vodka and coke (which I'm normally not a fan of...much prefer vodka and orange juice or run and coke, but anyway...) topped up with a Corky's cherry shot that makes it taste like you're drinking cherry coke...mmmm!!

Amaretto and coke seems to have become popular with people on here...I'm the only person I know who ever buys it! I'm partial to a delicious amaretto Sour too, very nice. I love cocktails with amaretto in, cherry brandy added to an amaretto sour is a nice twist.

Other sweet drinks I love include apple sourz and lemonade, cherry sourz and coke, southern comfort and coke and vodka with apple juice.

Smirnoff is vodka, smirnoff ice is lemonade with a couple of shots of smirnoff vodka mixed in.

I'm a bartender, so if someone asks for something relatively sweet I suggest:

-Sour Apple Martini (sour apple liquor with vodka and apple juice)

-Hypnotiq liquor on the rocks (it's expensive though)

    etc....

For the first, do you use any sour apple/apple liqueur? I like liqueur and my plan is to basically buy one of everything from thedrinkshop.com over time.

    http://www.thedrinkshop.com/products...t.php?catid=16

They have hundreds of liqueurs and quite a few different apple ones. Obviously the most well known are De Kuyper, Bols, FD, corkys and Apple sourz, however there are a few other interesting less well known foreign ones too. I was wondering if you can ever really taste a difference between them? In descriptions some say they use different apples, one says tastes like granny smith and not so sickly, some say sherbety etc, have you tried multiple brands?

Secondly how do you rate Hypnotiq? I was looking at reviews for liqueurs which taste good straight/on the rocks, many are just too sickly but this one has good reviews although it's a little pricey. Lovely colour though, might give it a try. What do you think of it and does it make any nice mixers or do you just recommend it on it's own?

    thanks for any answers
