I failed a driving test at uni and then the year ended so I had to move back home.
I found a new instructor, which I thought would be fine and could just do my test at home after a couple of lessons.
But I have had 5 hours of lessons and feel like a terrible driver! I don't know if it is the change in area, car (diesel to petrol also), instructor or a combination of both.
I'm thinking mostly the instructor (because she does things differently and does not shut up!) and the change in car. I dunno if I should wait until I just go back to uni. I want to, but I just feel like I have wasted money then on these lessons. Also I should really get used to a petrol car for when I pass, however this would be much cheaper to do on my own in a private area after I have passed.
Not sure what to do, has anyone been in this situation?

Keep having lessons. You'll get used to it eventually.

I failed my first test and then didn't drive a car for 6 months. Then found a nice local lady with a mini, had a few more lessons and passed.

I didn't put my own car on the road until I had passed my test. Didn't see the point.

Meh the instructor made me cry, so decision is made I'm waiting until I can have my old instructor. Goes to show how each instructor effects your confidence and driving ability

If they made you cry, then change, a change of instructor can help as they explain things differently anyway.
