    Hiya,

I'm asking this on behalf on a friend who wishes to go to St Andrews uni. She wants to study Ancient History and do the 4 year MA(Hons) course. However she was planning on doing a masters degree after her first degree anyway, does she still have to or is a Scottish MA(Hons) degree a masters?

    Thank you.

The Scottish MA is equivalent to the English BA; it is still an undergraduate degree, so your friend would still have to do a postgraduate Master's degree.
