Natwest: Didn't get my railcard in time last year - anything I can do? Watch

    Hey,

Basically through my own stupidity (kept putting it off) I didn't get my Natwest free 16-25 railcard last year. Apparently you had to apply by december in your first year to get it, so I've clearly missed that boat. (This is from my phone call to Student Services or somathing similar)

So basically, am I just going to have to shell out £20 a year for the railcard, or is there anything I could try? It'll pay for itself, so I really should get it even if I have to pay, but it seems a bit of a shame to spend valuable food money on it when it was available free.

Do any other banks offer it? I'd be perfectly happy to swap banks to get it (Natwest are fine, but they're nothing special)... or should I perhaps ring customer services and threaten to move first (taking my £3000 ISA savings, student loan and a regular payment from a deceased parent's pension with me) and see if that shifts their attitude?

    Any thoughts appreciated, thanks

Did you get anywhere with this? because i've done the same thing this year. I didnt realise there would be a deadline for applying. It seems ridiculous.
