Hi, having trouble deciding between medicine and dentistry as a carrer option, hoping I could get some positives and negative for both.

this is what im working on so far,
Medicine i think is more intresting and meaningfull work, however will be alot lot harder (the amount of years post grad. study required for consultancy/gp level), and will lead to a not so great lifestyle (less social life, more on call etc.).

Dentistry is also quite meaningfull work (but ur saving teeth instead of lives), theres more money sooner, and a better lifestyle (straight forward 9-5 job).

im just looking for advice on how to choose! thanks for any help

Well if this is your set of criteria, I think you've already made the choice.

Medicine is a joke career. Loads of junior medics got laid off because the NHS got its work force projections wrong and not enough training places for too many applicants. Some of the more popular specialities are very tough to get into like surgery and paediatrics.

Dentistry is better, better paid, better conditions, retire at 50.
