    Hey all.

I'm filling in a payment form right now and i'm stuck. I'm getting asked for "Tax ID / SSN". Since i live in Britain i don't have a SSN but how do i find my Tax ID? I don't even know if i have one to be honest. Do Brits get it?

I've tried the National Insurance number and that doesn't work...

There might be some value in explaining what the form is (something online, by the sound of it?), and what your situation is. What do you mean "that doesn't work"? I'd have guessed NI number too, since that's the nearest thing to a US SSN, but more details might bring out some other suggestions.

I think Tax IDs are for US citizens aswell.

National Insurance number would be the UK equivalent, but if it isn't accepting that are you sure whatever you're filling in is open to you as a UK citizen? Or is it an optional field?
