If Oasis appear at all (which it wouldnt for me, but each to their own) it would have to be Live forever over the overplayed cheesefest that is wonderwall.

you should change the last word of your screen name to fail.

    lies.
Not exactly unequivocal proof, but on Wikipedia 'twee' redirects to 'indie pop'. Arguing about this sort of stuff is a load of old jank anyway.

Somebody corrected my ex-girlfriend the other day when she called 'Múm' alternative. He said 'I think you'll find they're post-rock'. If I was there I'd of called him a 'post-cockend'.

Each to their own. That's what's great about music..it's all completely subjective.
    Not wrong there mate.

yeah i do know what you mean. I just like the Adams version because he can manage to at least give a bit of meaning and feeling to the nonsensical lyrics.

Wtf is a 'Wonderwall' anyway? :p:

oh well if wikipedia says so...
the problem that can arise is, I may be recommended a band to see play, and get told they're indie, usually meaning indie rock, and get all ready to bust one set of moves on the dance floor, and find I'm dancing in the wrong camp manner, because they're a twee band! And mid dance change from one camp dancing style to another is just tragic!:o:

The Libertines - Death On The Stairs
Arctic Monkeys - A Certain Romance
    The Strokes - Last
The Smiths - Every Day is Like Sunday
death on the stairs live is one of my favourite songs, doherty and barat at their best.

"From way far across the sea
    Came an eritrean maiden she
Had a one track mind and eyes for me
    Half blinded in the war

    With a pale young Anglican
Who said he'd help her all he can
Showed her Jesus and his little un-holy friend
She had no notion to please him
Just say 'ta-ra' and leave him behind

There's a little boy in a stairwell who says
    "I hate people like you"
Got match sticks & cable TV half of less than 50p
We all clambered over the balcony
Banging on the window waking Steve
Bringing with a true love his un-holy friend
Singing if you really need it
You just won't leave it behind"

A certain romance is also AM best song by distance.:woo:
