I am changing unis last minute(again) and have a few places I can go to.

I first googled bedsits and the name of the town and found 2 student properties spoke to one landlady on phone and she seemed nice, she said that she only had 1 tenant in the 4 bedroom property last year and this year its empty so I would be only tenant.

Rent is £52 just including internet and nothing else so would be paying own electric and gas.

I then managed to find an online landlord list on the uni website and she isnt listed which got me worrying.

I seen some other places available which range from the same price to £58 with bills included to as much as £75 with bills included,

I used to live in this town and the other slightly dearer properties are in the same street or area which I lived which I loved.

My final option is living in the halls where I lived when I went to college there when I first left home which are £69 a week but include 10 gig a month internet(not much) What I'm worried about there is when I lived there I owed about £200 arrears which I never paid off and forgot about but since then the property has been sold to a private company but the admin staff are the same but I moved 7 years ago so they may not remember me but loved living there (apart from horrible flatmates who stole stuff and called me a freak all the time but loved the property itself)

The only other thing is I am entitled to housing benefit so wouldnt get that for the halls

I have a form of OCD due to mild autism/aspergers which means I am kinda picky over certain things.

I loved living in these halls before and still get the odd dream about them, the only street in town where I really really really want to live has no student places, the only part of town I would find tolerable otherwise does have places but they are more expensive.

The only way I would go elsewhere would be if house was occupied with people either doing the same course at degree level or were doing the ND as that way we would socialise for the course.

Ok another update, have seen the beautiful house and landlords seem fantastic(redecorated place to amazing standard) and the rent is pretty cheap but its in area of town I dont want to be, whereas have seen one on one of the streets I want to live but the landlord has no student places left but a place in a house of working people but its not available for 2 weeks whereas the nice house is available now and I want to move now.

I as I say want to move to halls but cant get housing benefit for it(without blagging it)
