Guardian. Obviously both are fine for news but I prefer the humorous style of writing in the Guardians extra sections. (G2 and some of the sport stuff). Plus the music and film thing is good.

I'd rather use the money I'd spend on a paper in the newagents on some chocolate instead

The Gaurdian. Charlie Brooker, David Mitchell and not being owned by Rupert Murdoch FTW.

I've read the Times every day since I was a kid, so my answer is obvious.

The Guardian; I agree, generally, with its angle, and find it has a more interesting slant. Plus I am not a tremendous fan of Rupert Murdoch's formidable empire-building in the media, so the Times and Telegraph leave me a little disturbed.

The Guardian, but I'm quite happy to take The Independent as well.

I've grown up with The Times but I now prefer The Guardian. It's a generally better package during the week. The Sunday Times is awesome though, I still buy that.

Both are great but I like the Times for my online news source and The Guardian as my newspaper.

The Times; I grew up with it, it has better supplements and it just seems more interesting somehow.

Why compare those two? Surely it would be better to compare the Guardian to the Daily Telegraph, and the Independant to the Times?

I read any of the four though. It's nice to get a balanced view of the media whilst it still being fairly credible

You can read it all online so I'd rather spend the 50p on a bar of chocolate.

    I read Times Online anyway.

The Times, The Guardian is a waste of time and it's full of spelling mistakes. However, three years of Journalism taught me not to read any of them.

I really can't decide between the two; they're both interesting and informative, but in different ways. I'm more inclined to agree with the Opinion section of the Grauniad, but I also mostly agree with the editorials on page 2 of The Times. In terms of Culture and the Arts (i.e. the G2/Times2 sections) I prefer the Grauniad.

Comparing their websites only (because I never bought either of those newspapers) I would pick the Guardian.

Times for the news. Guardian for the supplements.
