What is it about jerks that is attractive to women?

Answer me this. Why is it that nice guys lose out to jerks in attracting women? It just beggars belief that girls are attracted to utter show-off morons. I think of myself as a nice guy and have great conversations with women but I still don't have a girlfriend. However whenever i go out, the jerks and idiots always get the girls. What explains this phenomenon?

Well now there are almost as many "why do assholes get women?" threads as there are "why didn't he call me? I was SURE he was into me!" threads in the HR forum.

I know exactly what you mean. In school we get complete gimps who spend an hour spiking their hair up perfectly every morning. They sit around in the common room and as soon as girls come in they get up, start shouting, hiting each other, throwing chairs/tables around and generally drawing as much attention as possible. They are the ones who end up with the girlfriends. It feels like it isn't just "some girls" but more like the majority.

Perhaps to combat the number of "Why do assholes get women?" threads you could post extracts from that book you're writing on the subject from recent experiences :smile:

I think girls MIGHT like the jerks coz while they're young they MIGHT want the 'badboy', but when they grow older they MIGHT want the good folk...

For my personal view delete all the 'Might's'

Girls like decisiveness and confidence.. mainly because they dont have it in themselves.. jerks ae jerks cos they take advantage of insecurities.. Xx

Because there is a difference in the way in which men and women think, so people who seem like absolute dickheads to men, may seem like reasonable people to women.

EDIT: This is also the reason why female people in customer communication jobs (e.g. managers) generally seem like annoying idiots to men, but women tend to like them.

Im telling you its the confidence. and the intense thing.i find that wen ur with them they act like ur the only thing in the world, even if wen ur not they couldnt care less.
