    I had around 6000 characters at one point. The trick is to make it all important. It's better to take out some extra-currics and just focus on one or two than have a list which tells you nothing.

    dont most people lie in their PS anyway? I mean theres loads of room for made up extra-currics in there, you could play any musical instrument in the world and they would never ask for a demonstration...

    I should hope most people don't lie in their PS!!! I'm sure some people do but it's something I absolutely hate. Don't lie.

    If you tell them you play an instrument they could ask you about it in interview. The questions they ask could very easily trip you up if they're things people who play that instrument would know and you don't.

    Yeah I suppose, but you could "exaggerate" about other extra currics. like playing football every friday or something, even though you despiser sport. Its low key and very common.
