I was just thinking about this... for you personally is facebook a very major part of your own socialising or is it just a tool for fun where you can look at what other people are doing?

I hate FB, I only use it to message those that I wouldn't normally encounter in my day-to-day life, like those who I've known from the past. I don't agree with it being used as a virtual world where everyone parades their lives for everyone else to see as it becomes a snooper's paradise for everyone around you to snoop into your own business! It also erodes good old fashioned face-to-face quality conversation. Call me an old fashioned cynic...

Despite Facebook saying that when you register they are free to give away your information as well as look up more information for you through records, newspapers etc., I had to join to gain friends and a girlfriend.

It's a small village in Oxfordshire, so lots of nasty people. Facebook makes it easier seeing as the only place to meet people is the pub-that-thinks-it's-a-club, and of course that's full of drunk slut chavs craving attention.

I don't use Facebook, so it's not very important to me.
