I'm in woodlands too! I'm kinda worried about going because I dunno I suppose alot of people have these worries, it's just nobody else I know is going there, and I also don't want to leave home :/ A bit silly really! However when I went round I really did like it, especially the graphics dept. Teesside was originally my 5th choice but then after going to London/Leeds Uni's I actually found Teesside to be the best, even though it's not in a huge city like London, maybe that's a good thing. To get a place (depends on results), but I also had to do an interview with my portfolio, which went really well, much better than the other unis. I just hope I get something out of the next 3 years!

I'm going. I'll be doing either computer science (insurance) or Games programming (firm) having an insurance and a firm at the same uni is proving rather confusing. If I do get the firm place I'll try and get on the computer science course. Its what I'd rather do though I think I'll easily get the 240 UCAS points they're asking for the games programming course. I'll be staying in KES. I've had my contract and sent it back. I suppose the accommodation office are staggering the work load.

How did you find it at Teesside?

I quite enjoyed it. You might want to attend an open day if you haven't already, since it obviously might not be to everyone's taste... but personally, I thought there were a lot of plusses. The easily accessible campus, the hi-tech LRC, the Students' Union etc.

I'll be there in September providing I get the points ( missed a lot of school last year due to illness but tried my best to catch up so fingers crossed.) I hope to do Crime and Investigation and I wll be in KES.
I visited a few Uni's and in terms of friendliness and being genuinely interested in people that attended the open day Teesside was head and shoulders above the others. Existing students rave about the place so I have a good feeling about it.

Yeah I went on an open day I was quite impressed (I also got to go around it on my interview day). I just felt it had something about it the London uni's didn't have. Maybe its because I'm from the north and I feel more connected to it than the southern uni's I don't know.. but it was generally a much more friendly experience.
