Haha I do this all the time. The last guy I did it to was so frustrated, bless him, he thought I was rejecting him or playing hard to get until I got my phone out and found it.

I can recognise my number when shown it, but cant remember it off by heart, obv im not a girl but there isn't a miraculous difference in gender memory. its 11 digits, studies say the STM can proccess and retreive 7+/-2 digits so its not gauranteed to be that she wanted to turn you down...instead of creating a thread about it why not try the number? ...

Blimey, I've only ever changed my number twice, but I've always memorised the number the same day I get it. I get a lil jingle in my head and then I've got it sussed :p: It is useful for giving out numbers, putting it on forms etc. Oh and ringing it from other's phones/the home phone if I've temporarily lost it!

    anon for obvious reasons...

Met a girl in a bar last night- I asked her for her number.
She replied by saying yeah no problem, I dont know my number by the way. She went through her phone and got a number out and showed me the screen. Is this a sign I was given the wrong number?..I mean what girl doesnt know her own number
I don't know my number...never bothered to memorise it when I got a new one! But it's in my phonebook under 'me' :p:

It took me AGES to remember my number, mainly because I never dial it ... I remember my mates numbers much quicker ...

the logical thing to do would have been to GIVE YOUR NUMBER to her and got her to prank you so you had her number. tbh she would have said this if she was halfway smart so it was probably just a rejection hotline bro, dont sweat it though.
