If I started playing the guitar, it (WYWH) would be the first song I'd learn.

I know the lyrics off by heart already.
It's a pretty simple, neat riff. The chords just go G, C/G, D, Am. From memory - it's a little bit tricky to think it onto paper without a guitar handy.

That said, I'm not a guitarist. It just happens to be in my very small collection of tunes that I can tinker with.

The lyrics thing is interesting. Mainly because most Floyd fans can sing the whole of the Dark Side of the Moon, the Wall and Echoes backwards and forwards. Eclipse throws quite a few, obviously.

Actually, the best driving music ever is in fact The Chain by Fleetwood Mac. The first song that I ever played when going for a spin, and it's easy to see why it became a classic (both of music and of television).

oh god. pick ONE song?I dont know. but some that would be in contention would be:

You'll Never Walk Alone - Gerry and the Pacemakers. Now I understand as a LFC fan this looks bias, but when I was very little and didn't know of English football, I knew and loved this song, and was one of the reasons I grew so attached to Liverpool when I was 12 or so in the first place and got into the EPL. That aside, it just a beautiful and heartwarming song, that no matter where you are or what you do, there are always the people that love you by your side.

    Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
    Bette Midler - The Rose
Switchfoot - Dare you to Move
    Powderfinger - Sunsets (acoustic)

Really im useless at picking one single song. Thank the heavens for music, honestly...

Hmm i'd say for a beatles song, it would be, 'Here comes the sun' or 'Eleanor Rigby'.
