Basically, to cut a long story short, my ex texted me today asking if i was free, and if i wanted to go his house to watch a film and have a chat.

I don't know what his intentions are though? And the message was pretty out of the blue, so i'm just wondering what he wants.

I ended the relationship because i cheated on him and felt so ashamed of what i had done.(i didn't willingly cheat on him, but i don't want to think about it again). Things weren't going too great in the short relationship we had; friend set us up at the weekend, and we got together the following week, and was intimate ridiculously soon. He'd disappear at weekends and didn't have a phone.

So we've bumped into each other in the street once or twice since the relationship (if you can even call it that) ended, and have always had an awkward-ish conversation. We joke around like we used to do, but everytime i see him, i feel stupidly guilty.

    any advice?
does he just want to be friends, or does he want something more?

Only he can answer that. Why not try talking to him? It might make it easier to talk in a more public setting like a park or over coffee.
