Just checked my status saying awaiting parents info (which was sent ages ago) do they not acknowledge if they have received it?

The funny thing is it shows under correspondence ( I am being means tested for full grant money) it says that I'll be getting £1280 bursary from newcastle. sent 23rd july, still havnt received the letter though.

Isnt that means tested? if so why havnt they sorted the maintence grant and loan out if theyve assessed me for my bursary?

any one in the same situation/ answers?

There is a notice on the web site saying that if you have sent in your financial information, they will have received it. I don't think there is a need to panic unless you receive a letter saying that they are still awaiting the information. I'm in the third year of my course next year, so know how frustrating it can be. Bursaries are awarded by the University, not Student Finance. There is a box to tick on the form to indicate that you consent to your financial information being shared with your university. This allows them to check your eligiblity for other financial support, such as bursaries and scholarships. Hopefully you have now received all of this message; I clicked the wrong button. If you need more help, do post again.
