I'm all confused, just made my first ever lasagne, and it said in the recipe to just place the lasagne, but im confused, surely putting pasta in the oven would burn it?!?! Ive done what it says but i feel im missing something, i don't get how placing a dry pasta sheet would work!

You put the pasta sheet between the mince meat and the cheese sauce , so the pasta sheet will get cooked as its actually inside the pasta, not on the to of it, and it wont burn either.

    Oh dear it will burn!

Just remember next time, when you put it in the dish, put in layter of mince, then a pasta sheet, then a layer of sauce and repeat untill you get to the top

all is well lol i removed the pasta, which HAD burned, put some passata with som veg instead of mince (as i'd used all the mince on another layer) on top of the new lasagne i'd put on, and added some cheese..phew crisis averted
