i have a cheque and was gona cash it in at a pawnbrookers. how does it work? does anyone know

They charge you for the service.

Why not just pay it into the bank?

Do you really need the cash that quickly?

You could be paying fees of up to 10%.

Is it really worth it?

Something like 3-5 working days, I think most pawnbrokers charge 5% fee or something like that.

Unless you need the money immediately use a bank

I agree with the rest, just use a bank, and if needs be borrow the money from a friend/ parent and pay it back in a week.
