    i have a cheque and was gona cash it in at a pawnbrookers. how does it work? does anyone know

    You could be paying fees of up to 10%.

    Is it really worth it?

    Something like 3-5 working days, I think most pawnbrokers charge 5% fee or something like that.

    Unless you need the money immediately use a bank

    I agree with the rest, just use a bank, and if needs be borrow the money from a friend/ parent and pay it back in a week.
