I applied for Finance in February. They messed up and its almost august and im still waiting. Late June we found out that they thought my stepdad had a private pension, so we wrote a letter confirming things and resent his wageslip. Should I be worried or would the letter be in the backlog. Im starting to think I will need to find the money on my own.

    Thanks

It does seem to be a long time. As long as they have received all the evidence then your claim should be processed in due course. However, if they have lost anything, this will create problems. I would contact them just to be sure.

It was sent recorded delivery, so I know they have received it.

I wouldn't worry about it. Contact them by telephone and let them know about your change of circumstance and the fact that you have sent evidence to support the new circumstances and get satisfaction of knowing what they know at that end.
