I plan on joining a gym named thegymgroup. I went to the gym today and was shown around, it looked really good. The tour guide said you need to buy a padlock from the vending machine to lock your belonging. The padlock costs £3, and I am not sure if you get it back?

Seems really weird, since the gym I currently use needs a pound to lock your belonging and you get your pound back when you finish.

Anyone been to this gym and could tell me how it works?

    Thanks

Where I go we each have our own lock we use each time, it came within the starter pack with a rucksack, drinks bottle etc..
or you can rent a locker for the year.

id assume you get it back!

No, it expires in 3 months. Then you have to buy a new one.

Yes it's your padlock if you buy it from a vending machine

£3 is hardly the end of the world even if you don't get it back.

It's a padlock..... you know, choose a code for it, enter the number and it opens, take it off again....

    Guess what, it's yours forever

At my gym it's 20p for a locker each time, which you don't get back.
