Yes they do. No one likes the Paras. Thats about it.

EDIT:

Basically - yes.

All regiments have their own specialisation thats why they exist. None of them could exist by themselves and although the banter is hard between them, they all know that they rely on the others all the time.

The SAS of course are the best of the best and you have to be insainly tough to get in. I can run the time for their selection but I know I would be one of the 97% who don't make it through the training.

All regiments have their own traditions which they generally try to follow wherever possible.

The British Army website will but it will be fairly in depth.

Paras tend to be very arrogent and from what I have experienced and seen are generally hated....dosnt even seem to be banter they are just literally hated. On the other hand, they are fantastic, along with the rest of the British Army.
I hear the Gurkhas have a few tough lads amongst their ranks.

Not really quite sure what you are after here.

The term regiments can be taken to apply to different infantry regiments or in the wider sense to regiments of the Royal Artillery, Royal Engineers, RLC etc.

Clearly the artillery is different from the infantry etc.

Within the Infantry there are different types of infantry battalion. Guards battalions swap between a public duties role and a combat role.

There are light role infantry batalions, airborne infantry battalions ( ie the Parachute Regiment), armoured infantry batalions etc. They all have different roles.

Some units in the Army have reputations at being good at rugby, football boxing etc.

There's only two things that fall out of the sky, bird **** and paras.

Only one of them was dumb enough to willingly jump out of a perfectly good plane.

Oh, and 3 Para Mortars has a repuation for...well see for yourself.

I suppose. Each infantry battalion has a certain role like Light Role, Armoured etc.
