    I'm in a depressed mood so I just listened to The Scientist. Stupid Coldplay and their meaningful lyrics.

    Not really a depressing love song as such, more like just a song to listen to when in general depression. She has such a beautiful voice ;w;

    Oh, and Yesterday - The Beatles always makes me tear....

    Johnny Cash's version of Hurt

    Lots of Jeff Buckleys stuff, if you get all his unreleased stuff and live albums you will see what a true genius he was, such a waste, such a shame.

    Wintersleep do some great stuff. As do Lamb, I seriously cant recommend them enough. Damien Rice is also fantasticly amazing along with Tom McRae, seriously check this guy out, and then you can throw Jose Gonzalez into that mix. Then for more mainstream stuff, Editors do some relatively powerful stuff, as do Snow Patrol.

    For more instrumental stuff where you find your own meaning, I adore some of Hans Zimmers soundtracks, especially his ones for Gladiator and Black Hawk Down.

    Yeah, I think it's because it's theraputic. Maybe it's just me but listening to depressive music actually makes me feel better.

    It's a bit like accupuncture - it should just hurt but it's pleasurable :dontknow: .

    If you like Massive Attack / Aqualung for depressing love songs I would HIGHLY recommend Lamb as a band to listen to, check out their compilation album 'The Best Kept Secrets 1996-2004' and I will be amazed if you are disappointed.
