I need some more powder basically, as my cheapo Rimmel pressed powder is completely broken...
I am wondering whether pressed or loose powder is better? I just use it to set my foundation, and for touch ups when I get a bit shiny?
    What do you guys use?

If you're bringing it out with you, pressed is better, as loose powder is so difficult and fiddly to handle.

For my initial application, I use Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre (Loose powder) and then take the same Chanel powder, but in a pressed compact version out in my makeup bag.

As above, if you're going to be taking it out and about pressed is better! Less mess! If not, get hold of those like grease blot paper things - I think you get them from Boots/Superdrug etc.

I like loose much better, I don't know why. I use Chanel and then carry blotting papers.

I use pressed because loose always looks powdery when I apply it. It never looks blended. I might just be crap at applying it though...

my maybeline powder did the same today and i just got some rimmel pressed powder stuff...i dunno if its any good but it was urgent as i had to go see a fitty lol.

anyways i prefer pressed, more compact, less fiddly and it just suits my face better for some reason lol x

Loose powder gives better application as the particles are milled finer, so you get a better result and it looks better on your skin.
However, pressed powder has the convience factor that loose powder doesn't have (loose powder could obviously easily spill in your bag).
If you have enough money, get both, and keep the loose one at home and put a pressed powder in your handbag

I prefer loose, I find it quicker and easier to apply and it looks better on my skin and gives better coverage. But as other people have suggested I'd use loose at home and a compact when I'm out
