    Its a tough choice, the factors you need to (or he needs to) weigh up is how much he values the friendship compared to how much he is attracted to her.

    I'm on the verge of finally telling someone i like them but I'm afraid of how he'll be if the sentiments aren't returned.
    A girl i was friends with once asked me out. I said no and explained that she was a good friend but i didnt feel the same way. We continued to be good friends for years and have only recently grown apart due to living in different parts of the country. If the guy is a real friend then he will be fine with it.
