Is it a bad idea to take both at HL? I know that for A levels it is not recommended as universities often deny applications with both, is it the same for IB? My other option than Economics HL is Physics HL...

    Thank you for your help

If you're definitely going to be applying for a course that relates to both economics and business, like the poster above, then it's ok I guess, but I'd generally advise against it because many people have said that universities look down upon it.

Yea i'd say it's a bad idea, especially it's what the unis think so that's what counts!
I wouldn't even recommend doing one high and one standard, just choose one -probably econ is better. At least that's what they recommended at my school!

Business & Management is commonly known as "good-to-know", while Econs is known as "must-know". That should say something abt Business' relevance.

However, why would you want to take Physics HL? Unless you are considering an Engineering/science-related future, I don't think it'll help. Even then, you would need another science (pref Chem).
Do you think parents should charge rent?
