Will you be under constant exam stress through all year, or are the majority of exams allocated to the end of the year in May/June?

It varies a lot depending on the uni. Some have regular exams, some have them in June of each year, some have them in June of just the 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 3rd year, etc... most unis will have information on their websites.

Last year we had exams in January at the end of the 1st semester and in June at the end of the 2nd semester. I think I like it this way, splitting them up means that I don't fall asleep half way through the year :yy:

depends on your uni and your course, in my first year we had term of end ends at the end of the 1st and 2nd term, as well as the summer exams, mainly in may first week of june
most uni the number of exams you do depends on the number of modules you have taken that year, information normally on the uni website

At mine you two of your modules exams in January (40 credits) and the other 80 credits in May/June, so you have essays throughout the year plus revision for exams.

My course we never had any at the end of the first semester but did at the end of the 2nd where as people on for example language courses had exams at the end of both so it really does depend on the uni and course and can even vary depending on courses at the same uni.

Totally dependant on the department and institution. In some sciences there are "practical" exams which take place at the end of the semester
