Not at uni yet, but I can say it'll be Waitrose as I work there and will hopefully get a transfer so I can still have my discount
but isn't the discount like 10%? Which probably still makes waitrose more expensive. Although there new essentials rainge is alright.

Last year, I went to the tesco just around the corner to get the fresh stuff (meat, milk, bread etc) every week, but went to the asda about two miles away to get the big stuff (tins, pasta, pop, household stuff) every month (wasnt too bad as I had the car).

Aldi do decent fruit and veg, I don't think there's any need to be snobby about them (especially not from a student's point of view).

I go to Aldi for fruit and veg (veg that I can't get from my back garden :awesome: ) and then a Tesco hypermarket for everything else. I don't particularly like Tesco but it's the only shop that has a decent range and is still relatively reasonable if you keep an eye out for offers. They're within a ten minute walk from my house.

I wouldn't mind checking Waitrose out but it moved as it made a loss every month since it opened :p:

Does anyone have their shopping delivered?
I did a few times and it was great! from asda btw, but I usually used tescos. I've gone off them cos I bought fruit from there this week and it was crap!

A tiny Sainsbury's local, which was the closest to me last year or what we called "big Tesco", but I had to get a bus back from there with shopping. Very occasionally I'd use the Tesco express in the city centre. There's also a really good fruit and veg shop in the city centre.

    LIDL <3.
Occasionally a massive Tesco (err) for stuff I can't in Lidl's/various smaller shops near me.

I live in the city centre of Sheffield at uni, and the closest supermarkets to me are Co-Op, Marks and Spencers and then Somerfield. I go to Co-Op and M&S mainly, and rarely to Somerfield.

Somerfield, Iceland and (sometimes) M&S. They're all within walking distance. A small Tesco opened not far away too, so I started using that instead of Somerfield. Might shop at Morrisons and have it delivered next year though.

In terms of cheapness, quality and value I'd say Morrisons.
