as long as they are not running about the place, shouting their heads of its ok, most bar and pub's have family area's, i don't see the issue at all

Nothing wrong with children in pubs during the day privided they are well behaved and don't run around and screen and shout. However, it's not the kids fault if they disrupt other people by doing this - it's the parents fault for not getting the child to behave properly. Poor parents are responsible for half the problems we face today - they just let their kids get away with anything and don't seem at all bothered by whatever trouble the kids cause. Yet, of course, we are in the wrong if we ever dare to question the behaviour of them or their children....

Personally, I think its annoying because when I'm trying to watch the game or chill out with friends, I don't want uncontrolled kids running amok and screaming.

    Your thoughts?

People this is why no smoking in pubs sucks!

In the day, sure thing, why not - the majority of important football games start around the evening anyway. In the evening, if it serves mainly only drinks then no, but if it serves meals, and is generally very family friendly, I suppose I wouldn't mind children then either.

Nay. Pubs are places for adults IMO. Maybe in the pub garden area during the day, but its annoying when you are trying to enjoy yourself and you've got little kids running around. I was once sitting in a pub and one of my friends swore, and the woman next to us got all hufty about it. OK so swearing isn't a nice thing to do but in an 'adult' place you shouldn't be shunned for doing something because children are there.
