Starting Uni this september, i'm going into catered accommodation at exeter, just wondering, what exactly do i need?

eg, do i need duvet, iron, etc.?

Whats the minimum you can get away with as family lacking money in severest sense, and although i will hopefully getting full loan & grant and stuff, not sure how much i'll be able to keep as may have to help mum out with finances at home,

so yh, anyone know what you get given/can't take (my friend can take barely anything because of fire safety??)/have to take?

    thanks

You may find that on lists like sprout. posted, you don't need half the stuff on there.

Bear in mind that some accommodations provide a lot of stuff. For example, my accommodation at Newcastle provides all kitchen utensils, cooking instruments, bedding etc, whereas others give you absolutely nothing.

The wiki on here has the answers.

Your Hall of Residence may also send you a small info booklet or something on what they provide?

seeing as you living in catered accomadtion most things should be provided for. Last year my old flatmate made by on a duvet, 1 bowl and 1 plate and that was in a house. Dont worry to much cause if you need anything supermarkets have everything in stock for students at the start of first term.

That may be helpful too. I've saved this link and the one quoted above (studential).

Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
