If you saw someone over 20, who has a full time job and perhaps a family of his own watching cartoons like the simpsons, south park, futurama etc - would you be more likely to join him or frown and shake your head in disapproval?

if he was watching the simpsons, then no, I wouldn't, that's awesome... I'd pull up a chair next to him in fact

anyone over the age of 25 still watching family guy would be kind of embarassing

    I like your Piplup.

And cartoons are fine in moderation. Some do merit excess though.

No. They should be shot.

Of course it's acceptable. Those cartoons are made for adults. And even if an adult enjoys cartoons primarily aimed at kids, so what? A lot of the time they have subtle humour that children won't get. Clearly there's meant to be something entertaining about them for adults, even if it's just so they can watch them with their kids.

Definitely the Simpsons is OK, it has loads of adult jokes that kids won't pick up :p:

Why do some adults still read comic books! It has a feeling of nostalga to it!

Same arguments for cartoons. Also, cartoons are good fun to watch and aren't really targeted at solely children but a family viewing audience (that includes mum and dad) !
