On the website it has a list of the questions that you are asked for the form:
"Have you ever had a serious illness or seen a doctor about your heart?"
When I was younger I went to the doctor, and he told me I had Heart Palpitations - Will this mean I'm not allowed to give blood or would this be ok?

"Have you been in contact with anyone with an infectious disease in the last 4 weeks?"
I had chicken pox about 6-5 weeks ago - Will this be ok for me to donate blood?

Your best to see your GP before but you might be in the clear with the chicken pox but the blood donors are pretty stringent. I dont think palpations will be an issue my mum gets them and she gives blood. Just make sure you tell some one before you give blood.

I can't see there being any problem. Just mention it when you're at the place.

Does anybody know why the age limit is seveneteen? The website doesn't say and nobody seems to be entirely sure.

maybe younger people don't have enough blood ? haha umm or they're more likely to be under the weight limit.. I'm not sure really.. but it's 17- 80 or something like that, so they'll be plenty of chances I'm donating next week
