Well I am intending to do intensive Sociology this year, with or without my college's help.
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the new Sociology AQA Specification, and where I can buy textbooks for both AS/A2.
Also, if you did intensive Sociology, how did you find it? What I want to do is do AS untill January, then A2 untill June. Is that possible?
    Thank you lovely TSR people.

not sure but haralambos is always a good start....
just completed my sociology A-level and have found the haralambos editions really really really useful.... not necessary to buy the book as its quite expensive but certainly be aware it will be there in your library for photo-copying =)
    good luckkkkk !

i have an AS haralambos book that my friend has leant me but it's the old specification, in which you had to do coursework, which I know is no longer on the new syllabus. also, i always buy textbooks so price isnt an issue...i don't live near enough to my college to always be in the library. i just recently spent £20 on my new Psychology textbook but I feel the textbooks are worth it.

Oh right. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sociology-Fo.../dp/140589671X that one is pretty good. It'll be very tough to do AS and A2 all in one year and acheive a good grade IMO.
