I'm having a birthday party on Monday, I'll be turning on 19.

I've hired a place in town, DJ etc.
Thing is, we're abit strapped for cash now we've payed out for that.

Would we get away with not having a buffet on? I don't want people to come and think we're cheap for not providing food.

I presume it's in the evening, so just make sure everyone knows they need eat beforehand. Tbh, I'd be surprised if I went to a birthday party in town and there was a buffet provided, so don't worry.
    Happy Birthday for Monday

I don't see why it would be expected.
