    Hi all

Got a problem and was wondering if anyone had an idea on where I stand. I completed my BA course last year and couldn't find a job so after a few months I signed on to JSA. I have recently been accepted for an MA course yet am still jobless until that point. Now as I understand it if I was in the summer holidays and still at uni I wouldn't be able to be on JSA but until I register as a student in october does anyone know if I am able to continue to sign on?

yep you can keep signing on. you officially ended your full time studies and dont become a student again until you actually start your masters. My mother works for the JSA section at the benifits agency and has already told me she will be forcing my ass down the job centre (because i find signing on patronising derogitory and horrible experience because of job centre staff) between the end of my third year and my masters unless i get a job.

tell me about it! Often they assume that there's a job out there for everyone, their role is to match a sponge to a suitable environment not realising that a high percentage of everyone walking through their doors are actually competing for the same positions. Anyways cheers for the advice and good luck with your own hunt!
