I sent the Student Loan Company my P60's five weeks ago and they did not confirm receipt. Today I got a letter saying 'as you have not provided evidence' etc, etc 'we have given you a loan NOT based on your income'.

This isn't very much and there are no grants at all, which over the phone I was told there would be because my parents don't make a great deal. I phoned up to ask if they can confirm receipt and they said no they can't...

    What do I do now?

Did you send the original? If so was it recorded delivery?

I had a struggle to sort out a similar problem. I take it you would like to be income assessed in regards to the loans and grants that you can get? I had to ring them up to tell them that I had been underassessed for whatever reason and get reassessed under a change of circumstance (there had been a confusion to what I was entitled to). It might mean filling out a few forms again but its worth it, and this time send any proof off with your application. their telephone help desk is normally quite a useful place to start if you explain your circumstance.
