So one of my close mates is really pissing me off lately, i have known him for about 3 years, a majority of the time he hasn't been in a serious relationship, and he always got fed up and depressed about this, and would always go on to me about it, i could tolerate that as it wasn't really annoying.

Recently though, he got into a relationship with a girl, he lost his virginity to her, but it all ended in flames, now, the thing is, now that he has actually taken that step, he has turned into a complete jerk, he complained about his girlfriend from the start and in the end i had to tell him that if she annoyed her as much as he said she did, he should break up with her, but what pissed me off to the extreme was, i was still single, and i am still a virgin (yes, social stigma, etc), and in the same breath as he would complain about his girlfriend, he would say "trust me, relationships are ****, don't get into one" and "don't worry, we'll find you someone one day, its time for you to join our club (non virgin club)".

I can take a joke, but he done it so much that i got tired of it, i found it hard to be happy for him when he was with his girlfriend, mainly because he either complained or just acted like a ****, i felt like being very harsh on him and had to hold myself back from it, i have told him a few times that if he carries on doing this, then it will be hard to be friends with him, and whenever he does do it, i cut him down, but he still does it regardless, anything i should do about this?

I think you should just tell him, in the nicest way you can, that you don't like the way he speaks to you or his attitude since he broke up with that girl. If he's a real friend, he'll see he's making you unhappy, apologise, and change his tune.

People that brag about losing their virginity either:
    A) got lucky (girl was drunk)
    B) had a charity case

    Your friend is a loser

If he says anything about losing his virginity to that girl again just say "surrrreee you did" in a condescending voice, he will get pissed off and say "yeah, I did!", and then you can either say:

    A) "So did I"
    B) "Yeah, okay *smirk*"

Either way, he willed be ****** off.

Thanks for the replies, its just he acts like he is the first person to have ever made a sex joke or whatever and it makes him sound like an oaf, i have washed my hands with helping out with his problems as he seems to be looking down upon me now, and luckily other people are getting tired of his behaviour, hopefully he will grow up and then i might start to like him again.

Meh i think he needs to be reminded that he isn't the first person to have sex and it needs to be pointed out that getting his willy wet seems have turned him into a total douche.
