Hi, I really want to get rid of about 20 games and a ps2 + x box, and I don't know how much I will get. How can I check how much I will get online? - or do I have to go to the GAME Shop?
    Thanks.

    Rep available.

You won't get much at all, given that it's previous-generation consoles you have. You'll have to go into the shop, when I worked there we weren't allowed to give trade-in values over the phone. There doesn't seem to be a list of trade-in values on the website either.

You often get a bit more if you trade in for store credit. For this reason, it's often better if you go to a shop with a bit more breadth than game (if you have one). For instance, I have a shop called 'cex' which you can buy second hand phones/ ipods/ consoles/ games etc from. Much better deal.

you might want to try ebay.

I was going to trade in xbox 360 dead space at GAME and they offered under £10 for it, but on ebay I sold it for £14 and that was only like 2 months ago.

If there is a CeX near you then try that, I've found that they give a much better price compared to most other places...

Well I'd avoid eBay at all costs for games, the listing fees and insertion fee etc will probably not be worthwhile...

Why use Game when you can abuse Cex?

You get about 1/3 of the preowned price, so i'd expect £1/£1.50 per game. For the console, maybe £5.

    Abuse?
    :yep:

It's just a turn of phrase, there's really nothing malicious in my behaviour whilst selling them my old ****.

    Don't bother.

You will get a better price on EBay.

Is there like a way to make copies of PS1 games bearing in mind it might be easy to as the underside isnt a blue/purple colour of the discs?

I sold all my games at CEX.... I used to sell them on eBay, BUT avoid it at all costs unless it's a decently priced game. Ebays fee's are ridiculous! I sold my Wii Fit game w/ balance board, they charged me £2.80 listing fee and 10% off final selling price! And if you withdraw money off paypal below £50 you will get charged aswell!

The only way I made money on eBay was to charge buyers a high P&P, it might put some people off but you do get some people who doesn't look at the P&P costs lol. I charged them £25 P&P for the Wii Fit but I only paid £7.50 lol

Don't use game - they have a central store of prices which they can offer you - which is very inflexible. Example - when the last GC/Wii Zelda came out - even if you had a copy before it was out - they'd only offer you £20 for it.

Amazon marketplace is a good place to sell things. Although probably not so much if they're old games like PS2 games. I'd probably sell those at cex. You can also check how much they'll give you on their website, which is cool.

Try your local market as well. GAMESTATION is worth a shot too.

Game wont give you hardly anything for them, I took my PS2 and 12 games in and they offered me £28... I then put it in the paper and got £85

My advice would be to try elsewhere before selling to a shop
