Sending off my VISA Tier 4 application today. Now I need to get a airline ticket. Has anyone been able to book a roundtrip ticket with a return date over 330 days? None of the online sites will allow a return date that far in advance. Will be attending school for one year in UK and wont be coming home during that time. If I book a one-way ticket, will that cause issues with immigration upon arrival without a return ticket? BTW, I'm in the USA.
    Any suggestions...
    Thanks

Book a one-way ticket, it is very unlikely that you will have any problems if you have a valid student visa.

Yes, looking at that option, but its more than a roundtrip. lol Might have to book the cheaper roundtrip and just change it and pay the change fees.

Sent the Visa app off today express mail. They should have it on Monday in Chicago.
Thanks so much for all of your posts on this subject. Its been a huge help for us.

there isn't 12 months round trip tickets?

here in singapore, under statravel (statravel.com.sg), there are one-way, 3months, 6 months and 12 months tickets. well not all airlines offer all 4 types, but most of them do offer 12 months round trip tickets.

i got the brochure from british council as well!

You're welcome Its no big deal, I have lots of free time these days.

Also I bought my one-way ticket with Air Transat (www.airtransat.com) and it was absolutely dirt cheap. I don't know exactly what cities they fly to, but its worth a look...
