Ok so baisically I'm going to study in Boston university and I'm going over there end of this month. I just started thinking about packing and its just hit me that I have NO clue what to take with me. I mean I'm moving my entire life how much do I realistically take from here in London to over there? I mean technically I'm not moving to america I'm just going there for like 10months a year to study and come back. So I wouldn't need everything right?

I duno I mean I'm a serious dancer so I'd probably take all my dance stuff but I mean how much should I really take? Should I take any collapsable boxes or anything? I know you get wardrobes but do you think I'd need extra storage stuff as well? Any advice would be appreciated!

A good way is to go through your everyday routine and then plan what to pick so e.g.

Morning: You wake up, you'll need:
    -toothbrush
    -toothpaste
    -face cream
    -face wash
    -shower gel and other toiletries
    -make up

    Going out later:
-lots of changes of clothes (in fact probably best to bring all your clothes if you're moving all the way from the UK to the US)
-shoes for different kinds of weathers
    -scarves/coats for the winter
    -Perfume

    Later that day: Recreation
-Couple of movies and books if you get bored
-Playing cards to play with other people with
    -Computer Games
    -Magazines
    -CD's etc

    Dinner:
-Errr...I don't cook for myself but I'm sure you can fill in the blanks

    Bed time
    -PJ's
    -Bedding
    -Sheets

This should just be a rough draft though so you're not caught off guard.

Well if you're moving to another country, take only the basics. Such as clothes and a few of your belongings. Everything else would make more sense to buy out there else you're gonna have to take a hell of a lot of stuff over... so buy storage/toiletries kinda stuff when you're over there.
