Sorry if this has been asked already, but does anyone know if we HAVE to be present for results day and what exactly it is we have to do?

I dreamed I had to sit a geography paper. I dropped geography before GCSE. It was horrible, because they just wouldn't admit that I didn't study it. Now that's a real nightmare.
    I HAD THE SAME DREAM!
I practically woke up in tears!

Haha same. It was just horrific. The fact that it had to be geography as well. I always hated that darn subject.

You guys and your discussions of dreams made me have one too (or at least, I blame you. I never dream about this sort of stuff usually ). I opened my results (which were, bizarrely, handwritten) to see I'd got 2 A's (maths and f.maths)... and 3 1/2 D's. I woke up at the point I realised I'd already got enough marks for a C in chemistry without sitting the modules in june anyway.

    38 days remaining.

I haven't had any dreams yet!
    Neither have I

I have to resort to second-guessing the raw-to-UMS grade boundaries + mark-scheme scavenging through TSR if I want to predict my grade. Why can't I have some inaccurately predictive dreaming to give me false hope?

Do you guys think it's weird that I force myself to burn 480 calories on the elliptical machine during a gym workout? :o:

(480 being the magic number to required for an A in an A-Level. :teeth:)

IF I DON'T DO IT IN 60 MINUTES, IT MEANS I FAILED TO GET AN A. :emo:

If you did it intentionally nope, but if not your brain must be trying to subliminally message you :ninja:

What is taking them so long to mark papers? Why can't it be like IB?

    thats brilliant!

Last year, when I was on a bus or in a car, i gave myself the rather demanding task of having to go through 5 consecutive green lights in 5 consecutive days of going out in the holidays, or else I wouldn't get 5 As. Never managed to do it once (londoners kept wanting to cross roads each time I was out and my liver could not quite handle 5 nights out in a row last year :o:) so it was no suprise when I didn't get 5As last year. :p:

Haven't quite got round to doing something quite as crazy this year! Give it time though, just give it time! :p:

I did have a dream, though, that I got my results a day earlier than everyone, added up the marks (which i thought was weird as I thought we were given total UMS and a grade on the paper), and found out that i had As in Bio, and Maths, and was 1 mark off an A in chemistry (which I need to get an A in to get into uni - firm or ins). Couldn't even muster the strength the add up my physics marks before I woke up, sweating like oxen on spits!

Thing is, I'm getting dreams (well just the one) with the right subjects I'm doing so its not so bizarre, but i sure do hope that the chemistry grade was wrong or there goes uni!

As long as results day is over 2 weeks away, I don't think I'm going to be nervous.

But as soon as it hits two weeks, I'll probably start feeling it. As it is, I'm scarily chilled about the whole thing... resigned to my fate.

(also the security blanket of resits is helpful :ninja:)
