Right just a few things to confirm after reading through the posts:

    • Do UCAS definitely have our results at the moment or is this just speculation? :eek4:

    • And when I got my Edexcel Results plus email, it said results will be released at 06:00am GMT. Now does that mean 7:00am BST in reality? I don’t have last years email so I cant check whether they said GMT then as well. Can anyone please confirm the time for me. I don't want to end up waking up an hour earlier. What an anticlimax that would be. :p:

    1. Someone said earlier that they phoned UCAS and they said that results had been processed, which probably means they have them .

    2. GMT is currently BST (GMT also has some alternative name that I don't remember) - the time in Greenwich is currently BST, so I reckon it's 6:00 BST?

some unis have results so i'm guessing UCAS have them

as far as i'm aware, BST and GMT are the same. Besides, you're going to be awake 24/7 anyways so what's the difference XD

    1 - :headfire:

2 - Those letters just confused me, but I saw 06:00 so I'm assuming 06:00 our time. :p:

Ok. Found the email from last year.

(Original post by Edexcel ([email protected]) )
Results day is almost here, so this is a final email to make sure you're ready to download your Edexcel results when they go live at 6AM GMT+1 on Thursday 14th August for GCE (A and AS level) and 6am GMT+1 on Thursday 21st August for GCSE.
That just confuzzled me even more.

But abc...xyz (damn, your username is long :p:), you're probably right. I'd be up all night anyway, even though I do plan on trying to get some sleep, so it shouldn't make a difference.

However, according to here, BST and GMT aren't the same.

GMT is also called Universal Coordinated Time, which stays the same irregardless of us being in BST or GMT. Therefore, if they talk about it being GMT, they mean BST, because we're still in GMT (although its summer, so we can also call it BST). If they meant Winter GMT, they'd call it UCT?

    Yeah, that makes sense.

But last years email used GMT+1 which is what confused me too.

Oh well. I'll just wake up and see what happens. You guys are probably right.

Maybe its just the lack of consistency. :s:
